Stories from the Bevan family @ Bryn-y-môr
Wales Coast Path
Bryn-y-môr Cottage, Llangennith, Gower is just steps away from the Wales Coast Path, the first dedicated coastal path in the world.
A taste of Gower
We’ve got a word for taste in Welsh. Blas. And whatever time of year you choose to stay at Bryn-y-môr Cottage, you can be sure that Gower’s pubs and restaurants are open for business to give you a distinctive flavour of the peninsula’s food and hospitality.
Rhossili Bay
Named Wales’ best beach and Britain’s fourth best beach by TripAdvisor, Rhossili Bay is right outside our front door.
Endless summer
We’ve been blessed with warm sunny days and light offshore breezes this week: September is often like this and one of our favourite months in Gower. Most of the tourists have gone home – they don’t know what they’re missing.
Four seasons in one day
Crowded House has always been a favourite band of ours, especially the song Four Seasons in One Day, written about Melbourne, Australia and its ever-changing weather. Though it could just as well have been written about Llangennith, Gower.
Full circle
If you like walking but don’t like to retrace your steps, a walk you might like to do from Bryn-y-môr Cottage is one we did ourselves again last weekend.
Surfing in Llangennith
Llangennith beach is the most consistent surf spot on Gower and surfable on all tides.
Sun, moon, stars and more!
At Bryn-y-môr Cottage we can offer the sun, the moon, the stars and more
Spring fever
We’ve had one early lamb and another ewe is expecting a quintuplet.
Winter sunsets
Rhossili Bay has long been voted the best place in the UK to see sunsets.
Eating al fresco
It’s a great time of year for outdoor eating – the weather’s warming up and the days are getting longer.
